tests.system.openlineage.example_openlineage_retry_dag

DAG with a task that fails on its first try and succeeds on the retry.

It checks:
  • the first try emits START and FAIL, the retry emits START and COMPLETE

  • taskInstance’s try_number is 1 for the first try and 2 for the retry, and max_tries is 1 for both

  • task’s retries and retry_delay on every event

  • taskInstance’s state: up_for_retry on the FAIL of the first try, success on the COMPLETE of the retry

  • each try has its own runId (the runId check of OpenLineageTestOperator is enabled by default)

  • every task event’s identity, as system.openlineage.expected_events describes it, and each task in the Dag’s job facet
